2019: Ghost Ranch, New Mexico
Time & Location
About the Event
We welcome writers at all stages in our writing lives to come to Ghost Ranch for a writing retreat summer of 2019, August 5-11. We will write in the morning, and we will let the land teach us in the afternoon. We will study poetry with Kate Gale, prose with Florencia Ramirez, and learn from literary agent, Elise Capron.
Purpose: to bring together writers to write, to take ourselves seriously as writers, to dream of a world where we have a book, a desk and a table and make that dream come true.
Who can attend: anyone who considers themselves a creative person.
Schedule: morning workshops from 9am-12 pm, group coaching sessions on first and last day
The rest of the day is yours to write, hike, rest, swim, paint, dream . . . create and to let the place teach you.
There will be a welcome and farewell party under the half moon with music on the first and last night.
Thursday is a free day to explore the surrounding area with new and old friends. Excursion ideas include a soak in the mineral hot springs of Ojo Caliente, explore art galleries in Santa Fe, go for a pilgrimage to Chimayo, visit Georgia O'Keefe's home, or shop in Taos.
